Attorneys in this section represent indigent offenders who are subject to court proceedings under the Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) civil commitment statute.
Attorneys, with the services of legal assistants and professional investigators, file pleadings, interview potential witnesses, conduct discovery, and try SVP civil commitment cases filed against indigent offenders (known as respondents in the cases).
Pre-trial includes all phases of civil litigation, including conducting and defending depositions.
